Can Colton Sissons become the 12th member of the Kelowna Rockets organization to wear Canadian colours at the World Junior Hockey Championships? Sissons can join an elite group which includes, Tyson Barrie, Brandon McMillan, Tyler Myers, Jamie Benn, Luke Schenn, Blake Comeau, Shea Weber, Josh Gorges, Chuck Kobasew, Brett McLean and Robb Gordon. Of those 11 players, nine have played at one time in the NHL.
The Rockets organization has also sent four coaches to represent Canada at the WJHC and two athletic therapists. Ryan Huska, Jeff Truitt, Marc Habscheid and Marcel Comeau have been apart of the coaching staff while Jeff Thorburn and Scott Hoyer have lent a helping hand to the training staff.
All totaled, that is 17 individuals from the Kelowna Rockets organization that have either played or participated at the World Juniors. Impressive!
