Zach Attack
Zach Franko was tremendous before Christmas. If the 19 year-old's first performance after the Christmas break is any indication, the Winnipeg product will be lights out terrific. Franko scored twice and added three assists for a five point game leading the Kelowna Rockets to a 7-3 win Thursday night over the visiting Kamloops Blazers. It was Franko's first five point game of his three year career. Line mates Ryan Olsen and Myles Bell also showed up on the score sheet. Olsen had two goals and two assists while Bell scored his team leading 20th of the season. The win, the Rockets 24th overall and 13th consecutive on home ice, moved them to within four points of the Blazers for first place in the BC Division with three games in hand. The Rockets visit the Vancouver Giants Friday before hosting the Everett Silvertips on Sunday (5:05 pm).

Excellent game. No rink rust after the break and Whistle looked good for a goalie with less than half a season in total games. I hope Rigby is ok. I really thought he would be playing more physical and with purpose by now. It would be shame if he is out. I hope he goes hard for the second half.
What a great game last night. Was not expecting a 7-3 win. Thought it would have been closer. It might have been if the blazers were not taking so many penalties (not that I am complaining about that).
It was nice to see a full house again. Hopefully we will see more of those in the second half of the season. In fans have not realized by now then I don't know what more it will take for them to realize the rockets are a top contending team.
