Gogol suspended 5 games

Kelowna Rockets forward Curt Gogol has been suspended for 5 games for a hit to the head on Kootenay Ice forward James Martin Saturday night. Gogol received a 5 minute major and game misconduct for charging. Gogol won't play until December 11th when the Rockets are in Brandon in game three of an eastern conference road trip.

Martin was about to play the puck, Gogol hits him with his shoulder and the elbow comes up AFTER the hit. The only reason this looks worse than it is, is because that moron Martin wasn't looking where he was going. Bad Call by the league....But...I think the fans around the league are numb to the League dropping the ball by now...so....meh...

Regan - What is your thought about Gogol's suspension? Is there any film of it available? Was Curt punished for what he did or what injuries happened to James Martin?

I was surprised at 5 games no question. I saw the replay on the video screen in the building and a suspension had to be handed out though. It was a high hit. Whether the player should protect himself better or was in a low posture when the hit happened, you can not but hand out a suspension.

Mr. Comeau please have a look at Bromley's blog to see the you tube video and then look up the word intent in the dictionary. A question for you - are all young men playing in the WHL morons or just the ones not playing for the Rockets ?
