Scarred for Life

That's the wrist of Rockets captain James McEwan. I took the picture Tuesday before leaving with the team for Spokane. The scar on McEwan's wrist is the result of two arteries cut from the skate of Giants enforcer Garet Hunt in a fight December 29th. McEwan says he will be back in the lineup next weekend, likely against Spokane or Seattle. It's been a long wait. McEwan has missed 21 games with the laceration.
You likely wouldn't have noticed this at Prospera Place but many Okanagan kids are well aware of what it's all about. These next two pic's are the back of the seats of six season ticket seats on the opposite end of Manhattan Point Restaurant, purchased by former Rockets Shea Weber and Scott Hannan. Those six seats are donated by Hannan and Weber enabling kids from the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club and Big Brothers/Big Sisters to attend games this season.
