Colin Long has been officially named the new captain of the Kelowna Rockets. 
Rockets general manager Bruce Hamilton addresses the media conference as he introduces Colin Long as the teams 17th captain.

This is a nice group. I expected Bloodoff and Benn and It does not surprise me to see Long. Almond though is a bit of a surprise. I am still not sold on Almond. Maybe I am not seeing thing others with more hockey knowledge see but I think he is inconsistant game to game, a bit of a floater at times and has never really reached his potential. I was kinda hoping he would get traded for some experience on the back end or another goalie ?? I hope he comes through and I am proved wrong.
Congratulations to all of the boys/men. They've all worked very hard for the recognition, and I hope they continue their hard work throughout the season.
