Morrissey marveling at snow in his hometown

Kelowna Rockets goaltender Jake Morrissey admits he is having a few laughs at the expense of his friends in Calgary this week.

Born in the Alberta city, Morrissey has seen his home town blanketed by snow while the Okanagan has enjoyed sunshine and a relatively mild fall.

"I am in the extremely fortunate position of ending up in Kelowna where you get four months of summer as opposed to Calgary's one and a half. There are certainly a lot colder places you could end up. I bug my brother a lot being in Prince Albert where there is a foot of snow on his car and I am still swimming in the pool, so no complaints".

Morrissey's older brother Josh has played the last three seasons with the WHL's Prince Albert Raiders.

Josh Morrissey will be in the Winnipeg Jets line-up this weekend at the Young-Stars Classic in Penticton and you can bet Jake will be there to watch him.
