It is the highest honour given to a player in Canadian university hockey.
Kelowna Rockets alumni Lucas Bloodoff has been named the Canadian Inter-university Sport (CIS) player of the year.
Bloodoff led his team, the Saint Mary's Huskies, in scoring this season.
He is best known in the Okanagan for captaining the Kelowna Rockets to a WHL Championship in 2009.
