The Rockets still have five - 16 year-olds on it's roster heading into a pair of exhibition games this weekend against the Giants.
Three of those five are on defense, where Tyson Barrie is joined by Phoenix Arizona's Kyle Verdino and Littleton Colorado's Collin Bowman. All three were selected in the 2006 WHL bantam draft. Barrie was picked in the first round, Bowman in the 2nd and Verdino in the 6th.
The Rockets 4th round pick in 2006, Jesse Paradis is the only 16 year-old forward at camp. The other 16 year-old is goaltender Dylan Tait, who I have been told will be headed back to Lethbridge after this weekend.
This is still a pretty young team, with eight 17 year-olds, and 7-18 year-olds. The only 19 year-olds are Tysen Dowzak, Colin Joe, Justin Bernhardt and Myles MacRae. The Rockets have 26 players on their roster.
I will have my take on all five-16 year-olds when I see them in game action Saturday at home against the Giants.
