Rockets Lead 2-0 after One Period

The Rockets opened the scoring less than 4 minutes into the period when Evan Bloodoff chipped in a puck sitting at the side of Giants goaltender Kraymer Barnstable. Collin Bowman and Colin Long picked up the assists. The Rockets would make it 2-0, when Myles MacRae at the right side of Barnstable, found a lose puck and shot it into an open net. Lucas Bloodoff and Tyson Barrie picked up the assists. The Rockets out-shot the Giants 11-8 in the period. Tyson Barrie left the game in the first period after having his head pushed into the ice by Giants overage Tim Kraus.
