Rockets Win!

The Kelowna Rockets improved their exhibition record to 1 and 2 with a 2-0 shutout win over the Vancouver Giants Wednesday night.
Adam Brown earned the shutout in goal, making 36 saves.
Kyle St. Denis and Spencer Main scored for the Rockets, who host Kamloops Saturday night.
One of the interesting aspects of the game was a fight involving 16 year-old Rockets forward Shane McColgan and Giants defenceman Matt Strong.

hey regan,
how come you weren't at the game? next time maybe... macolgan's fight wasn't much but he did land a few and got the takedown. kid also has a good game. callahan's fight was pretty decent but he was on the wrong end of a few big rights. it had to hurt.
game was pretty boring until the last 10 minutes or so when the giants had to press to tie. brown played really steady and looked good.

Scrap #2 Matt Strong vs. Shane McColgan

Not much of a fight really. 19 year old Strong was very much the instigator in this one, picking a fight with 16 year old McColgan. Not only did he get the instigator penalty, he got SOUNDLY thumped on. Embarassing.
