I had a good conversation with former Kelowna Rockets d-man David Schulz.
Schulz is enjoying his summer in Winkler Manitoba, but admits he has some decisions to make.
Schulz wants to play pro hockey this winter, but at nothing less than the East Coast level. Schulz is also considering joining the University of Manitoba Bison's this fall.
For the moment he is working out, which consists of an hours drive from Winkler to Winnipeg, and is waiting for his agent to give him some good news on a team willing to give him a chance in his first year of pro hockey.
Schulz is no stranger to the pro game though. After the Rockets season came to an end in late March, Schulz joined the Central Hockey League's Memphis RiverKings.

While David Schulz is considering the University of Manitoba, Brent Howarth's twin brother Kyle is joining the Bison's men's hockey program this fall.
Kyle Howarth has committed to the program, yet his identical brother isn't so sure what he will do.
Brent Howarth is considering playing pro hockey next season in the Central Hockey League, likely with Oklahoma.
Brent told me today that the deal includes a tryout with an American Hockey League team. Oklahoma's CHL team is guided by former WHL coach Doug Sauter.

The Edmonton Oil Kings radio rights have gone to the TEAM 1260. Sources say James Gallo, who called the Moose Jaw Warriors play-by-play, could become the voice of the Oil Kings this season.
