Regan, any idea why Kelowna is the only team where the local newspaper fails to include even one sentence about the team most days during training camp? Its hard to believe on a Friday edition, day 4 of Main Camp and they cant bother to report on anything. Its the same year in and year out.
Thank God the Daily Courier keeps us apprised of Dino Gini's basketball teams but cant write a story on who may make the team, how vets are looking forward to pro camps etc. Its sad that we read Kamloops, PG and Vancouvers newspapers to find out anything at all about the whl and the Rockets.
I know the Courier has a small sports staff, but I feel your pain. An extra large photo of Tyler Myers on the front cover of the sports section on Tuesday with no 'meat' doesn't cut it. I think the defending league champs deserve better, but that's just me. I know times are tough in the newspaper industry as on-line information is kicking them in the teeth. Why wait for tomorrow's newspaper when you can hop on your computer and read it instantly. I hope this blog helps fill your 'Rockets craving' to a certain degree.
