Tonight’s
Preview: The
Kelowna Rockets play the fourth and final game of a four game home stand
tonight against the Red Deer Rebels. The Rockets are 3-0-0-0 in the first three
games with wins over Kamloops (3-0), Prince George (5-0) and Edmonton (3-2).
The Rebels and Rockets met back on October 27th with Kelowna earning
a 3-1 win. They meet one more time after tonight, in Red Deer, December 15th.
The Rockets are
riding a season high five game home ice winning streak, having out-scored the
opposition 18-4. The Rockets have shut out the opposition in three of their
last five home games. Overall, the Rockets have one regulation loss in their
last nine games (7-1-0-1) with the lone setback being a 5-3 loss in Edmonton
October 27th. Following tonight’s game, the Rockets are in Tri City
for back-to-back games next weekend. The Rockets host Regina two weeks from
tonight at Prospera Place.
This and That: The last time
the Rockets won five or more straight games at home was during the 2009-2010
season. The team won 7 straight home games between November 2nd to
December 4th….The Rockets have not allowed a power play goal against
in their last four games (15 for 15)….The Rockets have just one power play goal

against visiting Prince George…Ryan Huska has 197 WHL regular season victories
behind the Rockets bench… Colton Sissons turned 19 on Monday while teammate
Cody Fowlie turned 20 on that exactly same day. Tyson Baillie turns 17 on
November 16th…The Rockets are 6 and 2 after 8 home games this
season. Last season they were 4-3-0-1 after eight homes games.
