Ryan Olsen, seen here wearing a Saskatoon Blades jersey, will be excited
to play his old team Saturday night when the Blades come to town. Olsen
was the Blades first round pick in the 2009 WHL bantam draft and was
selected 20th overall. Olsen has 11 goals this season in 19 games and is
on pace to score 35 goals this season. Yes, 35 goals. The 18 year-old
scored 15 times last season. The Tsawwassen, BC resident leads the team in power play goals (5) and has goals in three straight games. Olsen has five goals in the month of November, which includes a two goal game against Red Deer in a 8-1 win. Olsen was acquired this summer in a trade that sent Shane McColgan and Jessey Astles to the 'Bridge City'. The picture of Olsen in Blades colours is courtesy of Marisa Baecker and oddly enough was taken in Kelowna last season.
Here is the projection:
Goals Games
11 after 19
22 after 38
33 after 57
35 after 72
*This is purely the goal total Olsen would end up with at seasons end if he kept up his current pace. Scorers have dry spells over the course of the season, but regardless, it is still interesting to project.

I wonder if the blades will target Olsen more after reading this. If he goes down hurt at least we know who to blame.
I'm to blame every time. I am the reason the power play isn't clicking yet too. When in doubt, point the finger at the radio guy.
