Guard is replacing Ray Emery, who is serving a three game suspension for trying to take the eye out ...I mean for an incident against the Montreal Canadiens February 10th.
Guard has been playing with the American HockeyLeague's Binghamton Senators this season, posting 9 wins in 31 games with an average of 3.38.
Guard was called up November 7th when Emery was hurt, yet the 23 year old former Rocket has never played in an N.H.L game.
The St Louis Blues have called up D.J King. King has been playing with the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League this season.
The former Rocket has played 9 games with the Blues this season, and leads the Rivermen in penalty minutes this season with 102.
King won a Memorial Cup with the Rockets in 2004.

How 'bout former Rocket Travis Moen? He's having a huge year by his standards in Anaheim. 9 goals, 9 assists for 18 points. The most goals he ever had in one season in the WHL was 10!
He is flat out KO'ing guys in fights and is a checking-line force.
FYI, he just joined the Mccleary-Marleau foundation here in Swifty. It's now the Mccleary/Marleay/Moen Foundation.
Who would have thought he would have accomplished this when watching him in junior.
Moen got married this summer, so now has extra human strength which may account for his impressive numbers. Once he has kids, that super strength will be gone.
I had to laugh at an article published in an American based hockey magazine this winter featuring what NHL players do off the ice.
Moen was featured, because in the off-season he helps on the family farm in Stewart Valley.
One problem though.
The photo of a guy standing on a combine, wasn't Moen.
