Game Day Preview: The Kelowna Rockets host
the Portland Winterhawks in the third of four meetings this season. The Rockets
suffered back-to-back 3-0 and 4-2 losses on November 10th and 11th.
These two teams meet against tomorrow afternoon at 5 pm. The Rockets are coming
off a 7-4 loss last night in Vancouver. Nolan Foote scored his 32nd
and 33rd goals of the season while Mark Liwiski (10th)
and Alex Sweltikoff (4th) also scored in the teams’ 30th
loss of the season. James Porter allowed 4 goals on 27 shots before being
replaced by Roman Basran, who allowed two goals the rest of the way. Overall,
the Rockets are 10-13-2-1 in 26 games since the Christmas break. The Rockets
are 22-20-4-1 in 46 games under head coach Adam Foote. Following two games
against the Winterhawks, the team travels to Kamloops Friday night in a fight
for third place in the BC Division.
