For the price of 1 canucks playoff ticket you can take a family of 4 to a rockets game. Now yes concessions is way over priced, but you don't have to buy anything.

One of the main reason we don't sell out during playoffs is because season ticket holders don't get there tickets(from what I was told). Whether it is because of money or laziness I don't know. Anyway I am looking forward to next season already. Hey Regan with reqards to your comment " despite the non-sellout" I think the organization has to address the playoff structure with respect to ticket sales!! In these tough times its really difficult for people to shell out the kind of money they are charging for tickets to a postseaon game, with the high cost of everything at the concessions as well, families just can't afford to attend the games!!g.khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12950960214447016444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8092520535436243757.post-43181246024620998272011-04-18T17:20:31.486-07:002011-04-18T17:20:31.486-07:00Good point. We should of tied it we came close a few times, but it is what it is.

I really liked how all the fans showed support to the team last night. After the empty netter goal everyone got on there feet and starting cheering instead of just walking out.

We had a good run this season. At the begging of the year I did not think we would even make the playoffs, but they turned there game around and look where they finished. Top of the BC division and sent the top team in the West to game 6. Rockets may not have went on to the next round, but I am happy about what the accomplished this season and they should be to(though you always want to win).jaz301https://www.blogger.com/profile/17544148904832168164noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8092520535436243757.post-41296636434792245002011-04-18T14:06:40.819-07:002011-04-18T14:06:40.819-07:00From a Portland perspective, I really think that t...From a Portland perspective, I really think that the "just concluded" series with the Rockets could really serve them well in the immediate future.

I was very impressed with the Rockets coaching, goaltending, and work ethic. Another reason IMO for the "close" series was the overall playoff experience(s) that most of the Rocket players had "under their belt"

While the top 6 forwards for Portland are skilled, talented, and have immense potential (we would all love to have their future wage earnings), they still are relatively "young and inexperienced". Folks have to remember that the top two forward lines for Portland consist of two 17 year olds, three 18 year olds, and one old man (Cunningham).

As far as the Rockets go, I really think that Astles could be a real "diamond in the rough" - I was very impressed with his series performance.

Regan - great blog ... keep up the good work - see you back in the "Rose City" in seven or eight months!faxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00320025048230213148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8092520535436243757.post-49529964610721299152011-04-18T13:04:01.749-07:002011-04-18T13:04:01.749-07:00Carl, that was funny. As stated earlier in this blog, I would take him on my team. My advice for him is to mimic Johansen and Nino in how they conduct themselves. They exude pro.
Watch how they carry themselves. Amazing, yet they are the same age as Ross.
Incredible maturity.

As for Schenn. It is really tough for a player to be put under that type of pressure. Schenn was only a part of the Blades, not the reason why the team won or lost. The fact that he knew that if the Blades were ousted from the playoffs that he would be playing pro hockey would have been a mild distraction.Regan Bartelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06156188149671632288noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8092520535436243757.post-6485127696271357252011-04-18T11:56:54.341-07:002011-04-18T11:56:54.341-07:00Ok so now that its over Regan what are your though...Ok so now that its over Regan what are your thoughts on the Saskatoon series. I heard on TSN that Kooteney sweeping them is the biggest upset in the past decade of WHL playoffs. to give up so much only to be swept in the second round has got to be devistating. Will it affect Schenn's credability as a player ? He certianly didn't show up for the series in my opinion, where as the whole Kooteney team can out to play, especially Cody Eakin who looked like a leader in every game.

I was really impressed with the Kooteney goaltender, he's hot right now.MGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06923284046096718672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8092520535436243757.post-61927332967706954402011-04-18T11:21:55.655-07:002011-04-18T11:21:55.655-07:00It was a great series indeed. As a member of the Hosers i want to again say thanks!

The only part im gonna take issue with is calling out Ross for not "winning with class". Maybe he should have done what several of the Rockets players did to Portland fans after the game 5 win on Hawks ice....pounding on the glass, Flipping the bird and dropping F you bombs to the fans?? If you expect your opponent to win with class, maybe your players should learn it too???

It was a great series to watch. Brown and the rest of the team gave it there all. Looking forward to listening to you call the games in the years to come.

Thanks!
Hoser 16hawkey hoserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01492187988022206564noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8092520535436243757.post-63646150154866925292011-04-18T11:09:49.979-07:002011-04-18T11:09:49.979-07:00Brad Ross is a kid trying to figure out how to &qu...Brad Ross is a kid trying to figure out how to "fit in" in a man's world. He's a fiery guy who plays with a lot of emotion and needs to learn restraint. Ross matured quite a bit this year. He will find his way with a little more experience. I've had conversations this year with fans in Seattle, Everett, Chilliwack, Vancouver, TC and Spokane and they all say the same thing as you. "Brad Ross is a punk" etc etc etc. However, when asked if they'd want him to play on their team the answer was damn near universally - YES!
BTW Regan, it was a pleasure meeting you in Portland. Thanks for stopping us to introduce yourself.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13603341690425058286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8092520535436243757.post-3556777153555174732011-04-18T10:57:09.666-07:002011-04-18T10:57:09.666-07:00Hello from Portland. I saw their overtime win in the Rose Garden--Adam Brown was spectacular and Kelowna dug, dug, dug for the win. Class all the way.

The WHL--what a great product! I was able to listen to the last half of Tri-City's very tense 2OT win, the final period and OT in Red Deer's heartbreaking loss to Medicine Hat, see the Winterhawks play an OT game.
